Dr Jessica Manuela Young Tasmanian of the Year

A huge congratulations to Dr Jessica Manuela, our lovely Principal Dentist, on being awarded the “St Lukes Healthier Communities” award and also the 2017 Premier’s Young Achiever of the Year award. Dr Jess opened her own dental practice two years ago, speaks with school students about oral hygiene and runs community information evenings. She is the chairperson for the Oral Health Promotion Committee of the Tasmanian Dental Association and was awarded the 2012 New Zealand and Australian Society of paediatrics award. Dr Manuela has donated her St Lukes Healthier Community award prize ($1000) to Miss Emmanuelle Bostok, a PhD student doing research into Bipolar disorder and Epilepsy. We are extremely proud of Dr Jess on her hard work and wish her a huge congratulations.
