Dr Valerie Hach

Dentist

Dr. Valerie Hach earned her dental degree from the National Taiwan University in 2002 and gained extensive experience working in both urban and rural areas of Taiwan. In 2007, she moved to Australia, where she met her German husband in Launceston, and they made Tasmania their home. After a decade of growth and service, she proudly became an Australian citizen in 2017. Dr. Hach speaks fluent Mandarin, Taiwanese, and some German, allowing her to connect easily with patients from diverse backgrounds.

With over 15 years in Tasmania, Dr. Hach has embraced the local community and the beauty of its wilderness. Known for her calm and gentle approach, she helps anxious patients feel safe and focuses on practical, patient-centered care. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a special interest in restorations, dental sleep medicine, and preventative education. Her greatest joy comes from seeing patients leave her chair smiling and free from pain.

Outside of work, Dr. Hach finds peace tending to her garden and chickens, cooking creatively from recipe books, bushwalking, and playing the piano. She also loves baking for her colleagues at Dental South, who happily enjoy her homemade treats.
