Dr Valerie Hach completed her dental training in 2002 from National Taiwan University. After graduation, Valerie practiced in the most populated capital city as well as rural areas in Taiwan up to 2006.This experience had expanded her skill and knowledge in dentistry. In 2007, she met her husband from Germany in Launceston and later on they decided to make Tasmania their home. Dr Hach can speak fluent Mandarin as well as Taiwanese and some German.

Living in Tasmania for 15 years, Valerie enjoyed very much the friendliness of the local people as well as the beauty of Tasmania wilderness. She understands that we are not living in a perfect world and finding the best and practical treatment plan for her clients is always her mission. When seeing her clients walking out her room with confidence and big smile on their faces, it brings the greatest joy to her heart.
Dr Valerie’s gentle and calm approach to her clients has helped many anxious patients feel relaxed and safe in the dental chair. Knowing prevention is better than cure, her focus for dentistry is to empower patients to self-care their teeth daily through education and periodic following up progress. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, in particular dental restoration as well as dental sleep medicine.

Apart from dentistry, Valerie enjoys living in the country tending her garden and chickens. She also loves cooking, bushwalking and playing the piano for relaxation. It brings her satisfaction when seeing staff at dental south munching away her homemade baked goods!
