Dr Linda Jia

Dentist

Hi, my name is Linda. I moved down to Tassie from Queensland to join Dental South at the end of 2020.

As a child who was terrified of the dentist, I bring a gentle, empathic approach to help my patients overcome their dental phobia. I understand that dental fear is very personal, so I tailor my approach to each one of my patients to help them achieve their goals. To me the most rewarding aspect in Dentistry is to help an extremely anxious patient feel completely at ease in the chair and give them the smile they have always wanted.

I believe that a holistic approach is important to help my patients improve their oral and general health. This means that apart from managing your oral concerns, I am also interested in your general wellbeing and treating you as a whole person and not just a mouth.
I love all aspects of Dentistry with a particular interest in Implant surgery and restoration, Digital Dentistry, and Aesthetic Dentistry.

My partner Alex and I first visited Tasmania in early 2019 and straight away fell in love with it. We now live in the Huon Valley with our dog ‘Bonnie’, 3 pet cows ‘Moo’, ‘Charlie’, and ‘Seamus’, 14 chickens and a small flock of sheep.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, fishing, and growing vegetables. I am loving my new Tassie lifestyle and looking forward to exploring every corner of this Island.
